Meet The Team

Female Dental Hygienist
Dental Hygienist

Maria, CRDH

Patients searching for a dental hygienist in Winter Haven with truly exceptional credentials don’t have to look far. Originally from Valencia, Venezuela, she earned her general dentist license from the Universidad de Carabobo in 2008, building a strong clinical foundation that many hygienists don’t have. In 2017, she expanded her credentials by becoming a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist in Florida, and with over 15 years in the field across a wide variety of dental settings, she offers Winter Haven patients the kind of broad, adaptable clinical knowledge that elevates every appointment she’s a part of.

For Maria, dentistry has always been about far more than teeth. She is deeply passionate about oral health education, not as a box to check at the end of a cleaning, but as a genuine opportunity to improve her patients’ overall health and quality of life. Her emotional intelligence, compassion, and natural ability to connect with people allow her to meet each patient exactly where they are. Whether someone walks into the Smiles of Winter Haven office anxious, uncertain, or simply overdue for care, Maria has a way of making them feel respected, heard, and genuinely cared for. It’s that combination of clinical excellence and human warmth that has defined her career from day one, and that makes her one of the most trusted members of our Winter Haven dental team.

Outside the office, Maria is an avid traveler who loves discovering new places and soaking in different cultures. At home, she cherishes time with her husband, two children, and their beloved rescue pit bull. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maria ensures that every patient who walks through our doors, regardless of background, feels understood, comfortable, and in exceptionally capable hands.

Bibi, Dental Hygienist
Dental Hygienist

Bibiana, CRDH

When it comes to teeth cleanings in Winter Haven, few providers bring the depth of experience and clinical insight that Bibiana offers patients at Smiles of Winter Haven. Known warmly to her patients and colleagues as Bibi, she joined the team in April 2026 carrying more than 30 years of dental experience. Bibi started her career in 1995 when she graduated from the prestigious Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. Her career has included roles as a practicing dentist in Colombia, followed by time as a Dental Assistant here in the US while she pursued her certification as a Dental Hygienist. In her current role, as a Dental Hygienist with certification in local anesthesia, Bibi brings a unique breadth of knowledge to every appointment.

For Winter Haven patients seeking a hygienist who truly understands oral health from the inside out, Bibi’s background as a trained dentist sets her apart in ways patients feel the moment they sit in her chair. She approaches every cleaning and preventive care appointment with the same compassion, precision, and genuine respect for the patient in front of her. Bibi believes that a cleaning should never feel transactional, it should feel like a partnership. Her gentle touch, upbeat attitude, and unwavering commitment to ethical, high-quality care create the kind of experience that turns first-time visitors into loyal, long-term patients who actually look forward to their next appointment.

Originally from Bogotá, Bibi has proudly called the United States home for more than 20 years, living in South Florida and Orlando before settling in the Winter Haven area. She has deep roots in Florida and a genuine affection for the community she now serves. Outside the office, she loves traveling, beach days, music, and getting lost in a good movie or series. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Bibi connects naturally with patients from all backgrounds.

Sonya

Sonya is the backbone of Smiles of Winter Haven — a proud Hillsborough County native who brings over two decades of dental experience to her role as Office Manager. Her deep roots in the field have given her an intuitive understanding of both the clinical and operational sides of dentistry, allowing her to keep the practice running smoothly while ensuring every patient feels welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.

Sonya’s investment in dentistry extends well beyond her own career. She has served as a Dental Assistant instructor, sharing her expertise and experience to help shape the next generation of dental professionals — a role that speaks to both her mastery of the field and her genuine desire to give back to it.

Outside the office, Sonya is an enthusiastic football fan who loves cheering on her favorite teams. But above all else, her greatest joy is time spent with her grandchild — especially showing up to cheer him on at his weekend sporting events. That same energy and dedication she brings to the sidelines is exactly what she brings to work every day.

Having worked as both a Dental Assistant and a Sterilization Technician over the course of her career, she understands the inner workings of a dental practice from every angle — and that depth of knowledge is something patients feel from their very first interaction with her.

She has a true gift for breaking down the often confusing world of dental insurance, ensuring patients leave every conversation fully informed about their coverage, their options, and what to expect. Her fluency in both front- and back-office operations means she’s always one step ahead, quietly making sure every visit goes smoothly for patients and staff alike.

Originally from Miami, Mary was drawn to the slower pace and natural beauty of Central Florida — and she hasn’t looked back. When she’s not at the office, you’ll find her outdoors, soaking in the tranquility that first brought her here. It’s that same calm, grounded presence she carries into her work every day, making patients feel at ease from the very first phone call.

Adrienne, Dental Assistant
Dental Assistant

Adrienne

With 15 years of dental experience and a reputation for making patients feel genuinely cared for, Adrienne is exactly the kind of familiar, trusted face that keeps Winter Haven families coming back to Smiles of Winter Haven. She joined our team in 2026, but her roots in dentistry run deep. She began her career in 2011 when she earned her Dental Assistant Certificate, the start of a career defined by clinical skill and heartfelt patient care. Having worked as a Dental Assistant, Lead Dental Assistant, and Patient Care Coordinator over the years, she brings a complete, well-rounded command of the dental office that benefits patients at every step of their visit.

For Adrienne, the reward has always been the moment a treatment plan comes full circle. Seeing a patient walk out with a restored smile, better oral health, and a confidence they didn’t have when they first walked in, that’s what dentistry is all about. She takes her role seriously, not just as a clinical contributor but as a steady, reassuring presence for patients who may be nervous, overwhelmed, or simply looking for someone they can trust. At a dental practice serving the Winter Haven community, that kind of dependability matters and Adrienne delivers it every single day.

A true Central Florida native, Adrienne was born in nearby Lake Wales and grew up in Avon Park and Highlands County so she understands this community in a way that only someone who grew up in it can. Outside the office, she’s happiest spending time with her husband, young daughter, and their dog, Bear. The family are devoted MLB fans and proud Disney annual passholders, making frequent trips to the parks a beloved household tradition. That same warmth and joy she brings to family life is exactly what patients experience every time they see her at our office.
